State Public Works Department Minister Rakesh Singh on Thursday attended national convention of Dayodaya Mahasangh held at D N Jain College. During the programme, he sought blessings from Jain monks and appreciated ongoing efforts for the preservation and promotion of cattle. Extending greetings on the occasion of Paryushan Parv, the PWD Minister said that the festival inspires purity and righteousness in everyone’s heart. Describing the opportunity of having saints’ blessings as a matter of good fortune, he said that journey of development flourishes when it is accompanied by values and culture.
 
He assured that the process of development will continue steadily. Highlighting the deep cultural significance of cow in Indian tradition, Singh said that since ancient times, Gau Mata has been revered as sacred and believed to be the abode of 33 crore deities. Hence, every effort made towards its conservation and protection is both inspiring and commendable. He further urged collective participation in initiatives for cow protection. A large number of office-bearers of Dayodaya Mahasangh were present on the occasion.
