Thousands of idols immersed hassle-free

 

 

 

On the concluding day of 10-day Ganeshotsav, thousands of idols of Lord Ganesha were immersed with full religious rituals across the city’s immersion ponds under well-organised arrangements. Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh also performed the immersion of Lord Ganesha’s idol at Bhatoli pond.

 

On the occasion, he reviewed the arrangements made by the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation. The Mayor examined cleanliness, security and lighting facilities at the site and instructed officials to remain stationed at immersion points to ensure that the idols were immersed safely and conveniently without any lapse. Mayor Singh personally inspected the ghats at Bhatoli immersion pond and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.

 

He acknowledged the efforts of the Municipal Corporation in managing the immersion process and praised the dedication of the officials and staff present on duty. During inspection, the Mayor also interacted with members of Ganesh Utsav Samities and employees. He appreciated their morale and role in ensuring smooth conduct of the visarjan.
