THEcapital city of Madhya Pradesh
was steeped in spiritual fervour on
Wednesday as residents and political leaders gathered to celebrate the
second anniversary (Pratishtha
Dwadashi) of the historic consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lalla in
Ayodhya Dham. Organised by Huzur
MLA Rameshwar Sharma at the Yuva
Sadan office in Malviya Nagar, the
event featured a majestic replica of
the Shri Ram Temple and a highaltitude fireworks display that illuminated the city’s skyline.
The festivities commenced on the
eve of the anniversary when Chief
Minister Dr Mohan Yadav inaugurated the detailed exhibition showcasing a magnificent replica of the
Ayodhya Temple. This annual initiative by MLA Rameshwar Sharma
has become a centrepiece of the
city’s cultural calendar.
Speaking at
the inauguration, Chief Minister
Yadav remarked that the day of Ram
Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha (consecration)
remains a “golden chapter in Indian
history,” emphasising that such
commemorations are vital for connecting the younger generation with
their cultural and spiritual roots.
The main event held on
Wednesday saw the participation of
Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker
Narendra Singh Tomar as the chief
guest. Addressing a large gathering
of citizens and party workers,
Speaker Tomar officially commenced the fireworks ceremony.The sky was transformed into a
canvas of vibrant colours as the
skyscraping fireworks display
drew thousands of onlookers.
In
his address, Speaker Tomar lauded the initiative, stating that the
celebrations at Yuva Sadan have
evolved into a distinct cultural
identity for Bhopal. He noted
that the life of Shri Ram serves
as a timeless message of dignity (Maryada) and duty, and such
gatherings strengthen the fabric
of unity and faith within society.

The visionary behind the event,
MLA Rameshwar Sharma,
expressed that the life of a
Sanatani (follower of Eternal
Dharma) is incomplete without
the grace of Lord Shri Ram. “The
arrival of Ram Lalla in his magnificent temple is our greatest festival, and we are committed to
celebrating this milestone every
year with equal grandeur,”
Sharma said.
He further shared
that since the temple’s establishment in Ayodhya two years
ago, a resolution was taken to
observe this date annually in
Bhopal as the ‘Pratishtha
Dwadashi’ festival. The event
witnessed a massive turnout,
including several prominent
public representatives, BJP officials, and thousands of devotees
who joined in the chants and
celebrations.
