NAGPUR’S visually impaired archer Arnav Narendra Bais is selected to represent Maharashtra at the upcoming Para National Archery Championships scheduled to be held in Patiala, Punjab, from January 31 to February 3. This marks a historic achievement, as Arnav becomes the first blind archer from Nagpur to earn a berth in the prestigious national event. The young talent has also been selected for the Youth Para Asian Games in Dubai further cementing his rise on the international para archery stage.
 
Arnav trains under the guidance of renowned coach Mohammad Zeeshan, compound India team coach at Azees Sports Academy in Nagpur. Arnav scored a remarkable 508 points in the state selection trials. It was the highest by any blind archer from India and the second highest in world archery tournaments for the category. The Maharashtra Archery Association, Chandurkar, Deshpande, Nagpur Archery Association, and Khaurke wished Arnav good luck.
