THE 56th edition of Fit India
Sundays on Cycle transformed
the MANIT campus into a lively festival of movement, music,
and motivation. The event
brought together over 1,200 participants, creating an energetic
atmosphere that combined
cycling, cultural performances,
and interactive fitness activities.From early morning, the campus buzzed with activity—flashing phone lights, selfies, rhythmic music, and cheers marked
the start of a day dedicated to
health and wellness.
High-energy Zumba sessions
became one of the biggest attractions, while yoga demonstrations, rope skipping, Kudo, and
Mallakhamb performances
offered something for participants of all ages.

cultural and inspirational
dimension to the event.
Children, students, adults, and
senior citizens joined various
fitness sessions, making the

The event also featured notable sports personalities such as cricketer Aniket Umashankar Verma, junior hockey international Abdul Ahad, footballer Vishal Joon, canoe sprint athlete Jaspreet Singh, judokas Shraddha Kadubal Chopade and Yash Ganghas, and young Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardee Yogita Mandavi, adding inspiration for aspiring athletes.
Vishvas Kailash Sarang praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a fit and healthy nation, emphasizing the benefits of cycling and urging citizens to incorporate it into their weekly routines. Actress Payal Rohatgi highlighted that the Fit India movement is raising fitness awareness nationwide, helping nurture future Olympians, and bringing India closer to the vision of a Viksit Bharat. The event also recognised contributions from local fitness enthusiasts, journalists, and cycling clubs.
Fit India Champions including Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni, Vishal Joon, Kenisha Shrivas, and others were felicitated, along with state cycling champions Amit Das and Surya Narayan Singh. Organised with support from MyBharat, Yogasana Bharat, Rope Skipping Federation of India, Lions Club, NSS, and NYKS, Fit India Sundays on Cycle, launched in December 2024, has grown into a nationwide people’s movement, with over 22 lakh participants across more than two lakh locations.
