A GRAND two-day ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ public awareness programme and photo exhibition, organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Raipur, under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, was inaugurated today at the Sanskritik Bhavan in Bijapur. The event was officially opened by Zila Panchayat Chairperson Janki Korsa and Municipal Council President Geeta Som Pujari. While observing the exhibition, the guests remarked that the resolve to make India self-reliant and prosperous by 2047 can only be fulfilled through active public participation.

During the event, artists from the Song and Drama Division effectively disseminated information about various welfare schemes of the Central Government through engaging cultural performances. The primary attraction on the inaugural day of this event was Special Health Camp organised by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Aimed at spreading health awareness, the camp was led by Senior Medical Officers Dr Mohan Raju and Dr Idra Grishma Tejaswi of the 170th and 229th Battalions.

A large number of local citizens underwent health check-ups, received expert medical consultations, and were provided free medicines. This initiative by the CRPF was highly appreciated by the local community. The exhibition featured a special gallery focusing on the four key pillars of ‘Viksit Bharat’—Youth, Women, Farmers, and the Poor—showcasing India’s development journey and future vision. As part of the programme, a quiz competition based on flagship government schemes was organised for school students, with winners receiving prizes on the spot.
