Vidarbha bowlers toil all day

 

HARYANA piled up 423-9 as Vidarbha bowlers toiled on Day 2 of their four-day quarter-final of the U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy in Baroda on Monday. In reply to Vidarbha’s first innings tally of 139, Haryana resumed on 147-4 and batted the whole day, taking a huge lead of 284 runs with one wicket still standing. Abhiraj Vashisht logged a fine 122 for Haryana, while Yash Batotia made 92. Om Dhotre was Vidarbha’s most successful bowler with figures of 4-101.
