Radhika wins State crown

 

RADHIKA Dorle of Nagpur won a title in the Masters (Veterans) Table Tennis Championships organised by Solapur District Table Tennis Association in Solapur. In the 45+ category, Radhika got the better of Shruti Joshi of Thane to wrest title. In semis, Radhika defeated Sarika Varde of Pune. In 55+ category, Basab Choudhary won the title beating Prasad Naik of Mumbai.

 

 

SHIBANI Gupte and Surmayee Sathe made it to girls singles final of the MSLTA-Gondwana Club All India Ranking Championship Series (CS7) Under-16 Tennis Tournament on Wednesday. In the semis, Shibani beat Devashree Dagwar 6-0, 6-0 while Surmayee Sathe defeated Vaanya Agarwal 6-0, 6-3. In boys singles quarters, Vihaan Srivastava knocked Hriishav Ravalah out 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 in a thrilling three-set match. Quarter-final RESULTS Boys singles: Soham Ransubhe beat Akhilesh Chavan 6-1, 6-3; Puranjay Kutwal beat Ansh Patel 6-3, 5-0 (retired); Mohit Charmode beat Rudra Patwardhan 6-4, 6-2. Boys doubles: Vihaan Pongde-Mohit Charmode beat Neev Bhansali-Anagh Agrawal 1-6, 6-0(10-3); Hitarth-Meeresh beat Vihaan-Meka 6-4, 6-4.
