HUGE rush of devotees were
witnessed at all major temples
of capital Raipur, on the first day
of New Year (2026) on Thursday.
The devotees have rushed to the
temples from early morning to
seek blessings of Gods and
Goddesses on the start of the
year 2026.
Long queues were seen since
early morning outside temples
consisted of Ram-Janki Temple
in Airport Road, Kalibadi near
Vivekananda Sarovar, ISKON
Temple Raipur, Sai Baba Temple
and other temples of the capital.
In Ram-Janki Temple in
Airport Road and ISKON Temple,
a heavy rush was witnessed with
devotees lining up as early as 6
am in this chill winter.
Traffic congestion was reported at these places due to a large
number of vehicles heading
towards temples.
At Kalabadi Temple
and Sai Baba
Temple, the gates
have remained
open and continuous darshan was
a l l o w e d .
Elaborate security arrangements
have been made
with additional personnel of
Chhattisgarh Police and Traffic
Police deployed inside and outside of these temples.
Pradeep Sensharma, manager of Kalibadi Raipur said that
devotees started arriving on Thursday morning and attended the morning aarti amid
special arrangements. In many temples of the city, thousands of devotees participated in aartis, with long queues
of vehicles seen on the approach road.
