THE 4th World Ramayana
Conference commenced in
Sanskardhani with the ceremonial installation of the Narmada
Kalash, marking an auspicious
and devotional beginning to the
global event. The three-day
mega event will formally commence from January 2 and continue till January 4.
The concluding rituals of
Sundarkand recitations organised across urban and rural areas
for the success of the conference were also held at Manas
Bhavan. During the programme,
Dr Renu Arun Pandey and her
team captivated the audience
with live paintings based on
themes from the Ramayana. The
artwork drew warm applause
from devotees, who praised the
artists’ creativity.
A series of cultural presentations including Geet Ramayan
by Priyal Naaz Pandey Gatkar
from Pune, a Kathak performance on Shri Ram Chandra
Kripalu Bhaj Man by child artist
Ira Dixit of Jabalpur, Ram bhRamam Raghavam by Shiv
Shakti Kala Kendra, Jabalpur,
and a graceful dance performance by Nilangi Kalantare of
Trividha Dance Academy
added grandeur to the event.
The major attraction of the programme was renowned sand
artist Gopal Charan Samal from
Puri, Odisha, who visited
Jabalpur for first time. His sand
art depiction of the Ram Temple
drew widespread attention and
admiration from the audience.
