Rest houses to be built inall govt medical colleges

TO IMPROVE health facilities in public healthcare services across Chhattisgarh, with the help of Sevadan Arogya Foundation, Chhattisgarh Medical Education Department will setup rest houses for relatives and family members of patients in all government medical colleges
 
On Thursday, in the presence of Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, health minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Technical Education and Skill Development Minister, Amit Kataria, Health Secretary, Ritesh Agrawal, Commissioner of Chhattisgarh Medical Education and officials of Sevadan Arogya Foundation signed MoU of this prestigious scheme.
 
The foundation will take the responsibility of these rest houses in all government medical colleges where family members of admitted patients in hospital will get safe as well as hygiene accommodation with minimum cost.
 
In all of these rest houses, foundation and Chhattisgarh Medical Education will install CCTV camera and would provide nutritious foods to families of the patientAt first, these rest houses will be established at campus of state medical colleges in Raipur, Ambikapur, Raigarh and Jagdalpur where patients and their families from remote areas reach every day to get cure and better medical facilities.
 
Till date, family members of patients reside in nearby private guest houses and hotels which charge high fares from them. In this regard, Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai said that it is the duty of State Government to take care of patients and their attendants and in this phase, now the health department will setup rest houses in all state medical colleges.
 
Through these rest houses, families will get safe, hygiene and better accommodation in campus of medical colleges. Health Minister, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal stated that Chhattisgarh Health Services is expanding its services and with this MoU, state medical colleges will provide rest house arrangements which will be constructed on the basis of ‘no profit-no loss’ policy for family members of patients.
