THE pair of Shreyas Mehadia and Saurabh Rai won title in the Gondwana Club – Shri Pankajkumar Madholal Parikh Memorial Handicap Snicket Tournament that concluded at Tree Top, Gondwana Club. In a closely contested final that witnessed high-quality snicket play, the pair ofYogesh Padole andVikrantGulatiscored 66-63, 49-42,whileMehadia and Raimade 18-74, 54-67.Based on thecumulativeperformance, the duo of Rai and Mehadia were declared winners. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation of 32 teams and was organised as an inter-club championship, with players representingCPClub,MI Club, Eastern Sports Club, GymkhanaClub,andGondwana Club.

 

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by President Jatin Kale, Treasurer Parth Majumdar, Managing Committee Members Priyam Daga and Rahul Agrawal, along with sponsors, seniormembers, and players. Floral bouquets were presented to the dignitaries as a markofrespectandappreciation. The club placed on record its sinceregratitude tosponsorAmit Parikh, Tournament Directors YogeshPadole andTarunMohta, and member Ravi Joshi for their continued support. Rai and Mehadia took home the purse of Rs 1,00,000. Runners-Up Team comprising Padole and Gulati bagged Rs 60,000 award. Semi-finalist Team (1st) of KunalShukulandSurajDewani and Team (2nd) of JaideoMenon and Mihir Shah Rs 25,000 each. Best UpcomingTeamofKunalShukulandSuraj Dewaniwere rewardedwithRs 20,000.BestBatsmanprizewas won by Yogesh Padole – Rs 20,000; Abhishek Thakur (10Balls) was namedBestBowler of the Tournament Rs 20,000. In addition, honorarium was presented to themarkers for their disciplined and dedicated services. Special appreciation was also extended to the ClubManager Amol Chakor and theclub staff for their extra efforts, which ensured the smooth andsuccessful conduct of event.
