Vinayak Deshpande, Former MD of Tata Projects to speak at CIMCON’26

 

Vinayak Deshpande, former Managing Director of Tata Projects Ltd and the visionary leader behind the construction of India’s New Parliament Building, will be a distinguished keynote speaker at the Central India Management Conclave 2026 (CIMCON’26). He will deliver a powerful session on the theme ‘Execution is the Key to Success.’ An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Deshpande brings over 44 years of exemplary leadership experience spanning business strategy, large-scale project execution, infrastructure development, investment analysis, and talent leadership. Over the last two decades, he has held several CXO-level roles, including Managing Director at Tata Honeywell, Tata Teleservices, HCC, and Tata Projects, making him one of India’s most respected leaders in engineering and construction. During his tenure as Managing Director of Tata Projects, he was instrumental in transforming the organisation into a diversified infrastructure powerhouse, with major expansions in urban infrastructure, metro rail systems, power, and civil construction. Under his leadership, Tata Projects was recognised as ‘Most Admired Construction Company’ by Construction World and received multiple national accolades, including the Dun&Bradstreet–EY ‘Exemplary Project of the Year” award and EPC World’s ‘Outstanding Contribution in Power T&D” award. The company’s selection to execute the prestigious New Parliament Building under the Central Vista Redevelopment stands as a defining milestone of his legacy. Currently, Deshpande serves as Independent Director on the boards of several leading organisations including Kirloskar Brothers, Voltas, Signify Innovations, Praj Industries, and others.
