Vidarbha took a firm grip on their four-day U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy’s Elite Group B match against Hyderabad on Saturday. Jagjot Sasan duly completed his century as Vidarbha stretched their first innings to 420. Jagjot, who was unbeaten on 89 overnight, made 105 off 163 balls with seven fours and five sixes.

 

In reply, Hyderabad started well with their openers adding 58 runs, but after pacer Arjun Ingle provided the initial breakthrough, the spinners took over. Left-arm spinner Gaurav Farde and leg-spinner Himanshu Kawale picked two wickets each to leave Hyderabad on 238-6 at close of play on Day 2.
