State will celebrate the 16th National Voters’ Day today, at all 71,930 polling stations across the State. A state-level event will be held at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal, with Governor Mangubhai Patel as the chief guest. The programme is scheduled to begin at noon.
During the state-level function, the Governor will honour officers, employees, master trainers, booth-level officers
(BLOs), and volunteers who performed exceptionally in the Special Intensive Review Campaign 2026. Among those to be recognised are district collectors and election officers from Ashoknagar, Betul, Neemuch, and Bhopal. Bhopal district officials will also receive special awards for technical innovation, highlighting their efforts in modernising election management.
Several election officers will be honoured under the Electoral Registration Officer category, including those from Saunsar (Pandhurna),
Malhargarh (Mandsaur), Lakhnadon (Seoni), and Amla (Betul), with a special award for Amla. Assistant electoral officers from Pandhurna, Suwasra (Mandsaur), and Lakhnadon (Seoni) will also be recognised. Three national-level master trainers will be awarded for their outstanding contributions to training programs. Election observers from Niwari, Agar-Malwa, and Chhindwara districts, and BLO supervisors from Betul will receive awards for their exceptional work. Additionally, BLOs from Semaria (Rewa), Junnardeo
(Chhindwara), and Datia will be recognised for their exemplary performance. Volunteers, including a SWEEP icon from Narmadapuram and a founder of DCF, will be honoured for their significant contribution to voter awareness and participation. As part of the celebrations, the Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar Jha stated that the message from the Chief Election Commissioner of India will be broadcast during the event. Youth voters will receive their EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card), and all participants will take the voter pledge, reaffirming their commitment to active electoral participation.
