On the occasion of Republic Day, Governor Mangubhai Patel extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of Madhya Pradesh, urging them to uphold the Constitution and actively participate in nation-building. Speaking about the significance of the day, the Governor said, “Our Constitution is not just a document of governance but a living embodiment of social justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity. Republic Day reminds us of both our rights and responsibilities, and inspires citizens, especially the youth, to contribute sincerely to the progress of the state and the nation.” As part of the celebrations, Governor Patel inaugurated a three-day series of exhibitions organised by the Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department and the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) at Lok Bhavan.

The exhibition titled “Raj Bhavan to Lok Bhavan” traced the historical, democratic, and administrative journey of the state, featuring portraits and tenure details of all Governors of Madhya Pradesh. Other thematic displays included Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative, and the 150th anniversary of the national song “Vande Mataram”, showcasing its role in India’s freedom struggle. The Governor appreciated the creative presentations and cultural programs organized alongside the exhibitions. On the same day, Governor Patel also honored freedom fighters in Bhopal. Officials from Lok Bhavan visited their homes and presented shawls, shrifal (coconuts), sweets, and gifts. Honorees included Mohammad Jameer, Savitri Devi Verma, Devisharan, Parvati Devi, and Narayani Devi, along with the families of late freedom fighters Habib Nazar and Mohammad Mukhtar Khan.
