The Minister of Public Health Engineering, Sampatiya Uikey graced the main celebration of 77th Republic Day organised at the Police Line Parade ground with significant enthusiasm and ceremonial splendor. The Public Health Engineering Minister, Uikey initiated the proceedings by unfurling the National Flag and received the ‘Guard of Honour’ offered by the parade. Accompanied by Collector Raghavendra Singh and Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay, the Minister inspected the parade in an open white Gypsy. During the assembly, she read the Chief Minister’s Republic Day message addressed to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh. The ceremony included a traditional "Harsh Fire" by the armed forces, while the 6th Battalion Band provided the musical rendition of the National Anthem.
 
The Minister released tri-coloured balloons in the open sky before a disciplined March Past impressively led by IPS Probationer Shubham Singh Thakur. The formation during march past included ITBP, STF 6th Battalion, QRF 6th Battalion, Home Guards, District Police Force, NCC (Naval, Senior, and Junior wings) and Scouts & Guides and the Shaurya Dal platoon. Minister Uikey met with the Platoon Commanders and honored the families of freedom fighters and ‘Democracy Soldiers’ (Loktantra Senanis) with ceremonial shawls and Shriphal. The students from various academic institutions including Shishu Vidyapeeth, Mt. Litera, Yash Nursery HS School presented a series of performances reflecting India's cultural diversity.
 
Performance on ‘Operation Sindoor’ was especially applauded by the audience. Thirteen government departments showcased developmental tabloids. The Agriculture Department secured the first prize for its theme "Organic Haat." The second prize was shared by the Traffic Police and the Central Jail (for their "Gudiya" exhibit), while the Education Department and Municipal Corporation jointly received the third prize. Minister Uikey conferred several awards for excellence in different categories. In Armed Category, ITBP, STF 6th Battalion and District Police Force received first, second and third award, respectively. Under Unarmed Category, NCC Girls Senior Wing, Shaurya Dal and NCC Naval Platoon received first, second and third award.
 
While, Parade Commander Shubham Singh Thakur and Band Master Manoj Barar were awarded shields for their exceptional leadership and performance. The event saw the presence of high-profile officials and public representatives including Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, District Panchayat President Asha Mukesh Gotia, Divisional Commissioner Dhananjay Singh and IG Pramod Verma and others.
