DUE to the sensitivity and timely action by State Government
and Dindori district administration, an ailing young lady was sent
to AIIMS Bhopal for better treatment via air ambulance on
Thursday.
25-year-old Kirti Chandel, a
resident of Pipariya village in
Amarpur block of the district,
was sent through air ambulance.
Kirti Chandel’s parents earn
their livelihood through farming
and by working as daily wage
labourers.
Her brother, Punu Das
Chandel informed that Kirti had
undergone surgery for a tumor
in her lower back at Raipur
Medical College two months ago,
but as her health did not improve,
she was admitted to the ICU ward
of the District Hospital Dindori
on Tuesday.
Considering the patient’s critical condition, CMHO Dr Manoj
Pandey immediately informed
Collector Anju Pawan Bhadauria
about the situation.
Collector,
understanding the seriousness of
the matter, discussed it with the
state government and higher officials, after which it was decided
to provide the patient with an air
ambulance facility under the
Central Government.
Before the young woman was
flown to Bhopal, Collector herself went and spoke to Kirti, comforting her and assuring her that
she should not worry and would
soon recover.
Collector also shared her personal mobile number so that Kirti
could contact her directly if needed and assured her of all possible support.
A family member of the patient
and Dr Pankaj accompanied the
patient. SDM, Dindori Bharti
Meravi, SDOP Satish Dwivedi,
CMHO Dr Manoj Pandey, Naib
Tehsildar Shashank Shende,
Traffic In-charge Subhash, and
other were present. Locals have
wished Kirti Chandel a speedy
recovery.
