SCHEDULING consultations
with doctors at Government and
Ayushman-registered private
hospitals in Bhopal has become
simpler with the launch of a tollfree helpline. Patients can now
call 18002332085 to book
appointments for consultations
and treatment from home, reducing the need to wait in long
queues at hospital registration
counters. Since its introduction,
more than 23,000 people have
used the service, which has
received an average satisfaction
rating of 9.1 out of 10 from users.
The helpline suggests hospitals
based on a patient’s location,
whether residential or current,
and confirms appointments
according to the chosen hospital and time. This allows patients
to plan their visits according to
their convenience. Operating
from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, the service is part of the Ayushman Bharat
Digital Health Mission, supported by the William J. Clinton
Foundation.
Patients can schedule appointments that align with
hospital OPD timings and arrive
at the hospital at the designated
slot for consultation and treatment. In addition to appointments, callers can also create an
Ayushman ID and electronic
health record by providing their
Aadhaar number and linked
mobile number.
This helps maintain a digital record of their health
services and visits. Chief Medical
and Health Officer of Bhopal, Dr
Manish Sharma, said the helpline
allows patients to save time and
access medical consultation efficiently. “The service is free and
available to patients of all age
groups. It provides a way to
receive care without unnecessary delays at hospitals,” he said
