ASHADEEP :
Apang Mahila-Bal Vikas Sanstha, in collaboration with Ashadeep Divyang Prerana Kendra and the Chess Association of Nagpur, has launched a chess training initiative for the visually impaired students of Kurvey’s New Model High School, South Ambazari Road.
The initiative is supported by Rotary Club of Nagpur Green City and Sudhir and Seema Ghike. The support cheque was handed over by District Governor Dr Rajendra Patil and Club President Dr Swati Dharmadhikari to Dr Pratima Shastri, Dr Anagha Naseri and Dr Jyoti Shivalkar. The training was formally inaugurated at Kurvey’s New Model High School.
The dignitaries present on the dais included Dr Dharmadhikari, Dr Shastri, Aparna Kulkarni, Secretary, Ashadeep; Uge, Headmistress, Kurvey’s New Model High School and Amit Tembhurne, trainer, Chess Association of Nagpur.
In her address, Dr Shastri briefed about the programme. Dr Dharmadhikari delivered an encouraging speech and extended best wishes to the players. The programme was compered by Dr Anagha Naseri. Bachale made introductory remark while Dr Jyoti Shivalkar proposed a vote of thanks.
Also present were Padma Dethe of Rotary Club; Ashadeep members Chhayatai Tare, Rekha Parkhi, teachers and students of the school.
