ON THE occasion of World Senior Citizens’ Day, the Varishtha Nagarik Parisangh, Vidarbha Region, conducted a felicitation ceremony honouring the achievements of a large number of senior citizens at Jagdish Hall in Nagpur. The programme was presided over by Vijay Thakre, President of Varishtha Nagarik Parisangh, Vidarbha Region. The programme was attended by prominent members of Varishtha Nagarik Parisangh, including its National President Ravi G. Raman, Mumbai, National General Secretary Chandrakant Deshpande, Co-Organising Secretary of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Ganesh Mishra, former National General Secretary and senior guide Vasantrao Pimpalapure, and Vidarbha Regional General Secretary Sudhir Dabir, informs a press note issued by Suresh S Choudhary, Vice-President, Varishtha Nagarik Parisangh. The introductory remarks were delivered by Vilas Deshpande. Sunil Adbe conducted the proceedings, while Vijay Thakre proposed the vote of thanks. Sudhir Dabir presented a report on the organization’s activities. Sunil Moharil performed a group song. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Pasaydan by Datta Dhamankar.
