DURG :
CHHATTISGARH’S Forest and
Transport Minister Kedar
Kashyap arrived in Durg on
Monday morning. Speaking to
the media at the local Circuit
House, he enumerated the
achievements of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi’s tenure, marking the completion of 25 years of
his political and public life.
He stated that Prime Minister
Modi has steered the country
towards development and selfreliance by prioritising national
interest and service to the
nation above all else. No sector
of the country has remained
untouched by the Prime
Minister’s public welfare initiatives. The Central Government
has implemented effective
schemes across various sectors,
including education, health,
transport, women’s empowerment, youth encouragement,
child nutrition, and national
security. He added that the Prime
Minister’s foreign policy has
enhanced India’s prestige and
standing globally.
Responding to a question
regarding the upcoming visit of
Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge
Sukhdev Bhagat to Bastar,
Minister Kedar Kashyap welcomed him to the region but suggested that he should first
acknowledge and thank Prime
Minister Narendra Modi and
Union Home Minister Amit Shah
for freeing Bastar from the
scourge of Naxalism.
He noted that the massacres
perpetrated by Naxals in Bastar
are no secret; Naxals assassinated several prominent Congress
leaders and even desecrated their bodies. Kashyap alleged
that some Congress leaders are singing the praises of Naxal
leader Hidma.
He questioned whether Congress in-charge
Sukhdev Bhagat would expel those party leaders who glorify Naxals. He asserted that the Congress in-charge should
set foot on the sacred soil of Bastar only after taking action
against such leaders.
Addressing the State’s transport system, Minister Kedar
Kashyap recalled that the Chhattisgarh State Transport
Department had been shut down during the Congress
regime. The BJP Government introduced the city bus service to make transportation more convenient for the State’s
residents. He acknowledged receiving complaints regarding the irregular operation of city buses in certain districts.
He stated that these complaints have been noted, and
instructions have been issued to the concerned officials to
rectify the situation. He assured that the issues plaguing
the city bus service would be resolved quickly to ensure
regular operations.
On this occasion, School Education Minister Gajendra
Yadav, Durg Rural MLA Lalit Chandrakar, District BJP
President Surendra Kaushik, State BJP Secretary Jitendra
Verma, Municipal Corporation Chairman Shyam Sharma,
District BJP General Secretaries Dilip Sahu and Vinod Arora,
Alderman Tekhan Sinha, District BJP Media In-charge Raja
Mahobia, BJP leader Mukesh Belchandan, and other BJP
leaders and office-bearers were present.
