Says K S Cheema at IIM Nagpur Case & Research Conference
Chairman and Managing Director of KS Cheema Group of Companies K S Cheema on Saturday said that Indian business stories are worth telling to the world and they have the potential to bring revolutionary changes in global management thinking. Cheema said this while inaugurating the 2nd IIM Nagpur Case & Research Conference 2026 held at the Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM).
Cheema was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the international conference, which is being organised through IIM Nagpur’s dedicated Case Study Centre in collaboration with Ivey Publishing, one of the world’s leading case study development and publishing institutions.
In his welcome address, Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director, IIM Nagpur, said that India is now ready to take its management knowledge to the world. “Our business stories, leadership journeys, and innovation narratives will now reach global classrooms and boardrooms through structured case research,” he said.
IIM Nagpur is among a select group of institutions in the country with its own Case Study Centre, making it only the third IIM in India and the first among the new-generation IIMs to establish such a facility.
The centre is operated in collaboration with Ivey Publishing and focuses on developing world-class case studies rooted in Indian business and policy contexts. Through this centre, IIM Nagpur is hosting an international case research conference, which has attracted participation from management experts, faculty members, researchers, and students from across the globe. The conference has received an overwhelming response with more than 600 registrations, including both online and offline participants. Several leading experts in management case writing are mentoring participants during the conference, contributing to the creation of a new generation of Indian case writers. This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the global presence of case studies based on Indian industries and enterprises.
The conference was conducted under the leadership of Dr Rakesh Gupta (Organising Chair), along with Dr Prashant Gupta and Dr Yatish Joshi (Organising Co-Chairs).
