The Class 12 Board examinations, conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), commenced on Tuesday with all transparency amidst tight security on Tuesday.
A total of 16,308 students appeared for their English
language paper from 99
examination centres established at the urban and rural areas in the district.
According to the official reports, the examination was conducted in a peaceful and highly organised manner
across all designated centers in the district, with zero cases of academic malpractice or cheating reported.
Sharing a comprehensive breakdown of the students’ participation, District Education Officer (DEO), Ghanshyam Soni informed that a total of 99 examination centres including 49 in Jabalpur urban areas and 52 in rural areas, were established throughout the district to facilitate the process.
A total of 16,516 students were registered for Class XII examination in the district out of whom 16,308 appeared for the exam on Tuesday while 208 remained absent.
A total of 10,695 students appeared in urban centres
while 184 remained absent whereas 5,613 attended the exam from rural centres while 24 remained absent.
To ensure the integrity of the examination, several ‘flying squads’ (inspection teams) were deployed under the leadership of DEO Ghanshyam Soni.
These teams conducted surprise inspections at prominent urban institutions including MLB School, Rani Durgavati Girls Higher Secondary School (Ganga Nagar), Sandipani School (Medical), Hitkarini Belsingh, Gurunanak Girls Higher Secondary School (Premnagar), Government High School (Rampur), Johnson English Medium School, St. Thomas School and Pandit L.S. Jha Model School.
Simultaneously, inspection teams visited the Patan block to monitor rural centers. Additional oversight was provided by Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) across all administrative blocks.
The co-ordinated efforts of the district administration resulted in a disciplined environment, with no reported
cases of cheating or other
irregularities. The District Administration has expressed satisfaction with the smooth execution of the first major paper of the Board session.
