Cadets of NCC Group Headquarters Jabalpur delivered an outstanding performance during the Republic Day Camp 2026, earning several prestigious honours. The Jabalpur Group secured a Gold Medal for Best Cadet (Senior Division Army), Gold Medal in Dressage, Silver Medal in Tent Pegging, and a Bronze Medal in Show Jumping, reflecting their high standards of training, discipline and commitment. At the unit level, the award for Best R&V Unit was conferred to 2 MP R&V Unit NCC, Jabalpur, commanded by Colonel Vivek Mishra. The Best Naval Unit award was presented to 2 MP Naval Unit NCC, Jabalpur, under the command of Lieutenant Commander Shrikant Garg.

 

Based on overall performance throughout the year and continuous training activities, the Jabalpur Group emerged as the Overall Champion among all six NCC Groups of the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh NCC Directorate. In recognition of this achievement, the Chief Minister’s Overall Championship Banner was awarded to NCC Group Headquarters Jabalpur, which is led by Brigadier Ritesh Bahl. All the awards were presented during the “At Home” function held at the Chief Minister’s residence. The success highlights the collective efforts of the cadets, officers and instructors, and underscores the effectiveness of sustained training and strong leadership within the Jabalpur NCC Group.
