Majhgavan police have arrested two tractor drivers and seized their tractor trolleys loaded with illegal stock of sand. SHO of Majhgawan police station, Hardayal Singh informed that on Tuesday night, during routine patrolling near Jauli Mod. Two tractors including a red Mahindra tractor MP-20AB-6240 and another tractor MP-20ZH-1753 were spotted coming from the Khitoula-Khampariya side with trolleys filled with sand. Upon stopping the vehicles and questioning the drivers, the driver of tractor MP-20AB-6240 identified himself as Manshu Dahiya (19), and the driver of tractor MP-20ZH-1753 as Dhup Kapoor Kol (20).
 
Both are residents of Sunar Kheda village under Dhimarkheda police station in Katni district. When asked to produce royalty receipts or valid documents for the sand, the drivers failed to provide any. They admitted to illegally extracting sand from bank of Hiran river at Bhandra village and transporting it to Majhgawan. Police seized tractor-trolleys with sand and registered separate cases against the accused under Sections 303(2) and 317(5) of BNS, Sections 4/21 of the Mines and Minerals Act and Sections 130(2)/177 and 3/181 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
