Nishikant Dubey

NEW DELHI :

BJP Member of Parliament Nishikant Dubey on Thursday said that he has given a notice to initiate a “substantive motion” against Leader of Opposition in the Lower House of Parliament Rahul Gandhi, and demanded that his Lok Sabha membership be cancelled and he be debarred from contesting elections for life. Dubey said that in his notice he has stated how the leader of the Opposition (LoP) visits foreign countries joining hands with the Soros Foundation, USAID and Ford Foundation, and “colludes” with anti-India elements. A substantive motion is an independent, self-contained proposal submitted for the approval of a Legislative House or assembly, drafted to express a decision or opinion. “No privilege motion notice.

I have given a substantive motion notice where in I have mentioned how he visits Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia with Soros Foundation, Ford Foundation and USAID, and colludes with anti-India forces,” Dubey alleged. The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Thursday following uproar by the Opposition over BJP member Nishikant Dubey’s remarks targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Raising the issue during Zero Hour, Dubey alleged that Gandhi was hand-in-glove with anti-national forces. His remarks triggered an uproar from the Opposition benches forcing TDP leader Krishna Prasad Tenneti, who was in the chair, to adjourn the proceedings for the day. This was the second adjournment of the Lok Sabha during the day.

During Question Hour, the House was adjourned till noon as the opposition members raised slogans against the India-US interim trade agreement and the four labour codes. Dubey’s comment comes after Gandhi’s speech in the Lok Sabha yesterday, in which he accused the Central Government of compromising national interests. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Gandhi said the Government itself has acknowledged that the world is facing a global storm, with the era of a single superpower coming to an end, intensifying geopolitical conflicts, and the weaponisation of energy and finance. Despite recognising this reality, he alleged, the Government has allowed the United States to weaponise energy and financial systems in ways that affect India.

Immature, part-time politician: Pralhad Joshi on Rahul’s LS remarks

NEW DELHI,

Feb 12 (ANI)

UNION Minister Pralhad Joshi slammed LoP Rahul Gandhi, calling him an immature part-time politician who has provided no evidence for his recent claims. Joshi said, “He is an immature part-time politician. He has not presented any evidence for what he said...The Parliamentary Affairs Ministry will decide on motion against Rahul.” Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi had questioned why industrialist Anil Ambani was not in jail, alleging that his name appeared in the Epstein-related files. He alleged that there was pressure on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the India-US nuclear deal and “no PM would do what has happened in terms of “data, farmers, energy security and defence”. “I have said that I will authenticate the data I have. There are Department of Justice files on Epstein files naming Hardeep Puri and Anil Ambani. In an ongoing case against Adani, summons have been issued. The Government of India has not responded for the last 18 months. There is direct pressure on the Prime Minister. The main thing is that no PM would do this in a normal situation. In a normal situation, no PM would do what has happened in terms of data, farmers, energy security and defence. Someone would do this only when there is a certain grip on them,” Gandhi told reporters outside Parliament. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju yesterday said that Bharatiya Janata Party members in Lok Sabha will give a privilege notice against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi “for misleading the House and also making baseless statements”. He said Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has made baseless and false allegations against the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
