ANURAG Manik and Astha Manik of Raipur emerged winners securing first position for their AI-related idea App presentation in the grand finale of All India-level Competition at India AI Impact Buildathon Summit held in Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on Monday. The young talents, whose presentation was the best among 200 participant in Working Professional Category received a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh with support to further develop their App. Ahead of the grand finale, All-India level competition was organized recently inviting participants to present their AI-related ideas. Around 40,000 people took part in the competition. Later, 200 ideas were selected after three rigorous rounds. The shortlisted participants were invited to present their ideas at the national-level grand finale.
 
Anurag Manik and Aastha Manik secured first position. The sibling duo is developing an AI-based application named ‘Kartavya’, an Anti-fraud App designed to protect people from scams carried out using AI-generated voice calls. The app can identify the difference between AI-generated voices and real human voices, and alerts users accordingly. Presently, the app is developed to recognize voices in eight languages including Chhattisgarhi while working is on for further development of its features. Anurag Manik and Aastha Manik are the children of Arun Kumar Manikpuri, a retired employee of Bank of Baroda and Savita Arun of Raipur.
