MOIL XI emerged champions in the JSW-NDFA Senior Division Football Championship while Hot Ice took honours in the First Division both wining their respective finals by an identical margin of 3-0
In the Senior Division title clash, Moil XI blanked Royal United 3-0.
Mohammed Anas scored and own goal in 5th minute and then late in the second half, Jatin Marai fired in two goals ten minutes apart to seal the deal.
Marai scored his first in 70th minute and added one more in 80+1 minute. Royal’s Mohammed Anzar was cautioned in the match.
Trained by noted coach Gurunath Kathaute, the winners Moil XI took home Rs 15,000 cash reward while runners-up bagged Rs 10,000. Marai was richer by Rs 4000 cash prize for being Player of the Tournament.
Adarsh Kathaute was named Man of the Match (Rs 3000) while Sheikh Shakeeb (Rs 2000) was declared Best Player of Runner-up Team
DGM of JSW Shekhar P was the chief guest while Rinku Singh Chowdhary (AGM JSW) and Damodar Thakre (Manger Finance JSW) were guests of
honour.
Haresh Vora President NDFA, presided over. Iqbal Kashmiri, Secretary; Abid Khan, Dr Stanley Gregory, Hemant Sahani, Khalid Ansari, AB Khan and Dr Kamal Ansari were prominently present. In the First Division summit clash, Hot Ice beat Chandrashekhar FC 3-0 with Mammir Sohail (7th and 63rd) and Mohamamad Saad (43rd) being the gaol-scorers.
Winners got Rs 10,000 cash prize and a trophy while runners-up won Rs 7,500 cash. Sohail (Rs 2500) was named Player of the Tournament, Saad (Rs 2000) was declared Man of the Match. Farhaan Ansari (Rs 1500) was the Best Player of Runner up Team.
