CITY’S Ritika Deshpande delivered an exceptional performance at the prestigious AMCOM Junior Challengers – Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) Under-14 Tournament held in Kurunegala, Sri Lanka by finishing runner-up in both singles and doubles.
Competing in her first international tournament outside India, Ritika showcased remarkable composure, determination, and competitive maturity against a strong field of international players. Her impressive singles campaign concluded with a closely contested final against the tournament’s top seed, where she narrowly lost 4-6, 4-6 after a spirited fight.
Ritika further demonstrated her versatility by reaching the doubles final. Reaching two finals in a debut overseas appearance is a significant milestone and reflects her dedication and discipline.
She trains at Sincere Tennis Academy under Sachin Patil, Vaibhav, Chetan and Ayush.
