Before scrolls take over our soul...
How strange it becomes when ‘dopamine’, a crucial brain chemical which transmits positive signals to the brain, gets entwined with the digital world of today. Digitalisation has come to a level where the target audience is not even targeted; people are becoming their own victims. Dopamine is being consumed digitally, with the swipe of a screen.
Now, can we imagine our life without internet and social media? I think not.
A study has shown that due to excessive scrolling the cognitive ability of each individual is declining day by day. Our lives are running fast but our brains have slowed down to our ability to process information.
Have you wondered why we zone out completely even after being physically present? It is because of the attention span that the app developers have set.
As our mind is being trained to scroll past a reel after every minute and so now, we cannot pay attention to long conversations. If the world is speeding up and our mind is slowing down, who is truly in control?
Procrastination has increased, impaired attention, denial of activity and delayed participation are just examples of how we are being destroyed. Every two minutes we need to check
our phones. The amount of dopamine that the digital world has been feeding us is unbelievable. So now, it is time to reclaim our mind before the scrolls takes over our soul.
