Municipal Commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar held a review meeting with senior officials, consultants and contractors to examine the progress of development works and cleanliness related activities in the city. During the meeting, he reviewed performance of nine main departments and issued strict instructions to senior officials. Ahirwar also made it clear that no laxity or compromise on quality would be tolerated.
The Municipal Commissioner reviewed works of the Establishment, Pension, Health, Electricity, Water, Garden, Public Works, Planning and Government Schemes departments. He directed all concerned officers to ensure that both ongoing and proposed development works are completed within the stipulated time frame and with high quality.
He warned that strict action would be taken against officials, employees and contractors found negligent.
He asked to accelerating works under AMRUT Phase-1 and Phase-2. The Municipal Commissioner also reviewed progress of the PM SVANidhi scheme. He instructed officials to ensure timely disposal of pending service related cases and to take lawful action in court related matters.
In view of ensuing Swachh Survekshan 2025-26, Ahirwar directed all senior officials to conduct morning ward visits and ensure effective implementation of cleanliness measures on the ground.
He also held detailed discussions on long-pending Chandalbhata cases. The Municipal Commissioner assigned responsibility to senior officers for early resolution of these cases to ensure uninterrupted progress of related works. He urged officials to strengthen coordination, remain active in the field and ensure timely resolution of citizens’ issues.
