Three-day CIMCON’26 begins at IIM Nagpur

Addressing the inaugural function of the three-day CIMCON’26, Central India’s largest management conclave, on Friday, Anand Sancheti, Managing Director of SMS Ltd, said that failure makes one more resilient and innovative while success makes one more busy. He also said that the business leaders should proactively identify potential risks and deal with them in an effective way. Dr Bhimaraya Metri, Director of Indian Institute of Management; Vijay Phanshikar, Editor, The Hitavada; Vishal Agrawal, Director of R C Plasto Tanks and Pipes Pvt Ltd; Shantanu Ugemuge of Vidarbha Infotech Private Limited; and Ashutosh Paturkar, office-bearer of CIMCON Management Foundation, were seated on dias. Expressing his views further, Sancheti said that trained manpower is essential for the growth of any organisation.

The well-informed and trained employees can pave the way for the company’s growth - not just 10X but even more than that, he observed. “Deal with your employees like you deal with your family members. If you take care of them, they will take care of everything else. It is also important that each and every employee of the organisation must know where the money comes from,” he said. Earlier in his welcome address, Bhimaraya Metri said that the 21st century belongs to India. “India’s population is its assets.

It is generating huge data which makes it an ideal place for IT sector,” he said. In his introductory remarks, Ashutosh Paturkar said that 10X growth requires courage. “We must move from cost advantage to innovation advantage and from market participation to market creation,” he said. Amit Bajpayee introduced Anand Sancheti. A large number of the business leaders, professionals, management students and others attended the inaugural session. Organised by the CIMCON Management Foundation in association with IIM Nagpur, VIA, and VMA, CIMCON’26 has been designed to emphasise the most critical aspect: bridging the gap between industry and academia.
