RUBY Colts will take on Navniketan Cricket Club in the summit clash of the Guzder League ‘A’ Division One-Day Tournament to be played at the VCA’s Jamtha Stadium on Sunday. The match will be a day-and-night game. In the semi-finals, played at the VCA’s Kalamna ground on Friday, Ruby Colts chased down MRCC’s mammoth tally of 341 with three wickets and 10.1 overs to spare to march into the final. Varun Bisht was the star performer for Ruby Colts with a sparkling 116, while Rohit Binkar contributed 50 runs. Earlier, Tushar Kadu top-scored with 92 for MRCC while Shubham Patil made 69. In the other semi-final, played at the SB City College ground, Mohd Faiz led the way with 118 and Yash Kadam remained unbeaten on 90 to help Navniketan post 349-7 in 50 overs. AIR were never in the race and were bowled out for 154 in 27.4 overs, handing Navniketan a 195 runs victory. Suniket Bingewar and Manan Agrawal claimed three wickets apiece.
