CHIEF MINISTER Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday celebrated his 62nd birthday in a spirit of simplicity and devotion, spending time with children at Balak Ashram in Bagiya before offering prayers at the historic Shri Jagannath Temple in Dokda.
The Chief Minister began the day by visiting the Balak Ashram located near the Bagiya helipad. He cut a cake with the children and interacted warmly with the students, who study from
Class I to Class V. Most of the children belong to tribal communities and appeared visibly enthusiastic to have the Chief Minister among them. Gathering around him with excitement, the students engaged in conversation as he enquired about their studies and well-being. His composed, simple and sensitive conduct created a warm and uplifting atmosphere across the ashram premises.
The interaction reflected encouragement and personal connection, leaving the children delighted.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed cake and chocolates to the students with his own hands. Addressing them, he advised the children to focus on their education, progress in life and bring pride to their families, society and the state. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for their bright and successful future. Later in the day, the Chief Minister visited the ancient Shri Jagannath Temple in Dokda,
where he offered prayers with full rituals to Lord Jagannath, His brother Balabhadra and His sister Subhadra. Accompanied by his wife, Kaushalya Devi Sai, and other family members, he circumambulated the temple and sought divine blessings. He prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state, and for continued peace, progress and overall development. Among those present during the birthday celebrations were MLA Gomati Sai, Commissioner Narendra Dugga, IG Deepak Kumar Jha, Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Lal Umed Singh, Zila Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar, trainee IFS officer Yashasvi Maurya, Bharat Singh, along with local public representatives, officials, teachers and staff of the ashram.
