Ravi Daf and Pankaj Pande came out with good all-round shows to guide AD XI to a convincing five-wicket win over AIG Sports Academy in their league match of Kukreja Paris City Masters Cup at SB City College cricket ground on Saturday. The event is hosted by Vidarbha Veterans Cricket Association and is powered by Tirupati Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd. AIG won the toss and elected to bat. In stipulated 100 balls, they managed 138-7. Nitin Barapatre top-scored with 42.

 

He faced 34 balls and hit five boundaries and one six. For AD XI, Pande (3-23) was pick of the bowlers and was well assisted by Daf (2-32). The chase turned out to be an exciting one as AD XI reached 140-5 with just one ball to spare. Daf (53; 38b, 4x4, 2x6) and Pande (35; 25b, 5x4, 1x6) put on 82 for the second wicket.

 

After some quick wickets, Gaurav Acharya (19*) and 7 Hemant Bagwe (12*) took the team home. For the losing side, Akshay Pal (2-10) and Ganesh Chaube (2-20) picked two wickets each. In other matches, YSCC (82-10 in 89 balls) lost to Nobel Sports Academy (83-3 in 61 balls) by 7 wickets; Fortune Cricket Club (178-7 in 100 balls) beat Nagpur Indians 83-9 in 100 balls) by 95 runs and Nagpur Indians (94-7 in 100 balls) lost to SB City Strikers (96-3 in 44 balls) by 7 wickets.
