District Election Officer and Collector, Raghvendra Singh chaired a Standing Committee meeting and final electoral roll was published as per the schedule set by the Election Commission of India, on Saturday. During the meeting, DEO and Collector Raghavendra Singh handed over copies of the updated voter list to representatives of recognised political parties. The final publication for the eight assembly constituencies of Jabalpur district shows a notable rise of 49,710 registered voters compared to the draft roll released in December 2025. According to official data, the total number of voters has increased from 16,76,909 in the December 2025 draft to 17,26,619 in the final list published on February 21, 2026 an addition of 49,710 voters across the district.
 
The updated roll includes 8,81,191 male voters, 8,45,362 female voters and 66 third-gender voters. The district’s EP ratio stands at 61.12 while the gender ratio is 959 women per 1,000 men. The highest increase in voters was recorded in Jabalpur West where 8,214 new voters were added, taking the total electorate to 2,05,252. Panagar constituency saw the second-highest rise with 7,479 new voters, pushing its total to 2,53,314, making it the largest electorate in the district. (SC) added 6,877 voters, total 2,19,179, Bargi vote base increased by 6,371 voters, total 2,31,696. Jabalpur Cantt constituency added 6,015 voters, total 1,60,211 as the smallest electorate in the district. Similarly, vote numbers in Jabalpur North grew by 5,774 voters totalling 2,01,514 voters while Patan added 5,376 voters, total 2,45,674 and Jabalpur Poorva (SC) constituency registered increased numbers of voters by 3,604 voters, total 2,09,779. Panagar continues to have the highest number of voters while Jabalpur Cantt remains the smallest constituency by electorate size. Jabalpur West registered the largest growth in new voters. Officials said the updated electoral rolls will now serve as the official voter database for upcoming elections in the district which is reflecting successful enrolment drives and revision work carried out over the past months.
