The Budget Session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly has been adjourned sine die ahead of its scheduled completion. While the Opposition has accused the Government of avoiding discussions on several critical issues, the government claimed that the fixed agenda was completed and that they received full co-operation from the Opposition. Following the adjournment of the session, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya stated that the agenda decided by the Business Advisory Committee was fully accomplished in the House.
 
He claimed that 100 per cent of the scheduled list of business was discussed and noted that the opposition provided complete co-operation. However, the Congress party has raised questions regarding the Government’s claims. Congress MLA Sachin Yadav hit back, stating that many important issues were not discussed at all. He alleged that there was no serious deliberation in the House on crucial subjects related to farmers. With the conclusion of the session, the round of allegations and counter-allegations between the ruling party and the opposition has intensified. Budget Session adjourned sine die: The Budget Session of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly was adjourned sine die on Friday, one week before the scheduled time.
 
Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar announced the adjournment of the House sine die. It is noteworthy that according to the pre-decided schedule, the session was supposed to run until March 6. However, amid the completion of legislative work and continuous ruckus in the House, the session was adjourned sine die. Opposition raises questions: The main Opposition party, Congress, has expressed strong objection to the premature conclusion of the session. The Leader of the Opposition alleged that the government wanted to avoid discussions on issues of public interest, especially law and order and farmers’ problems, and therefore the session was ended in haste.
