Sculptors are busy in making creative Holika idols for the pious Holi festival in the city. Shops of colours, sprinklers and funny stuffs are attracting customers at local markets. Sculptors have received good numbers of advance bookings for making idols of Holika. One of the sculptor in Ghamapur area, Ramkumar Prajapati, owner of Gopal Kala Kendra, expressed satisfaction over number of bookings for Holika idols.

 

He informed that following the record numbers of bookings for Holika this season, he has hired additional sculptors and helpers for fulfilling the demand within stipulated time. The idols of Goddess Durga, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Narmada, Lord Vishwakarma, other deities and Holika made by sculptors in Jabalpur are first choice of several religious committees. Not only in Jabalpur but the idols made by local sculptors are being put-up in other districts including Katni, Narsinghpur, Gadarwara, Harda, Banda and Sagar.

 

On the other hand, festival committees are busy in making preparations for celebrating the Holi festival in a grand manner. Sculptors have been given bookings for thematic Holika idols based on several relevant activities around the world.
