City experiences fluctuating weather patterns

 

 

 

The weather in Sanskardhani has been changing frequently over the past few days. On Monday morning, the city woke up to fog, after which the weather took another turn. Due to fog during the early hours, visibility remained low causing inconvenience to commuters. Vehicle movement on roads was affected and drivers were seen exercising extra caution. As the day progressed, a visible change in weather conditions was observed. Sunlight and clouds played hide-and-seek throughout the day. At times, mild sunshine provided relief from the cold, while intermittent cloud cover and chilly winds brought back a slight chill. The fluctuating weather pattern was felt throughout the day. According to the Weather Department, such conditions are likely to persist for a few more days.

 

Light to moderate showers are likely to occur in some parts of the division. However, from the second week of the month, an increase in sunshine intensity and a rise in temperature are expected. Spokesman of the Department informed that the changing weather is due to an active cyclonic circulation over Punjab and adjoining Haryana, along with the impact of a western disturbance. The western disturbance has resulted in cloud cover and cold winds, with a more clear effect during morning and evening hours, when temperatures tend to drop. As per the Weather Department, the city recorded a maximum temperature of around 26 degrees Celsius and a minimum of about 13.4 degrees Celsius on Monday. For the past three days, mornings and evenings have remained cool, while daytime sunshine has provided some relief.
