The ashes of late Ajit Pawar, former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra were immersed in
a sacred kund at Gurukunj Mozari in Amravati, at Wainganga River in Gondia and in Dham river in Wardha on Tuesday.
In Amravati, his ashes were immersed in the sacred kund at Gurukunj Mozari in accordance with the traditions of the Gurudev Seva Mandal at around 6.45 am on Tuesday. His ashes were brought to the public contact office of Sulabha Khodke, MLA at Railway Station chowk to enable leaders, party workers and citizens from across Amravati district to pay their last respects.
Following his funeral at Baramati, his ashes were worshipped at the NCP headquarters in Mumbai, after which the Asthi Kalash was taken across the State to allow people to offer their final homage.
On Monday, from 3 pm till late night, leaders and workers from all political parties, representatives of various social organisations, eminent personalities from different fields, and countless admirers paid their respects at the Asthi Kalash kept at Sulabha Khodke’s office.
Later, in the early hours of February 3, at 5.45 am, Sanjay Khodke, MLC and Organisational General Secretary of NCP (AP), Sulabha Khodke, MLA and party office-bearers departed from Amravati with the urn and reached Gurukunj Mozari. After offering prayers at the Mahasamadhi, rituals such as
recitation from Gramgeeta, meditation and silent homage were performed, following which the ashes were immersed. With the first rays of sunrise, the late leader was symbolically laid to rest at the revered karmabhoomi of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj.
Sanjay Khodke, Sulabha Khodke, Padma Shri awardee Gramgeetacharya Janardhanpant Bothe, Yash Khodke, Surekha Thakare, Santosh Mahatme, Prashant Dawre, Avinash Mardikar, Adv Kishor Shelke, Jitendrasingh Thakur, members of the Gurudev Seva Mandal, directors of Arvind Bank, and a large number of NCP leaders, corporators, youth wing representatives and party workers were prominently present on the occasion.
In Gondia, the ashes of late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were immersed in the Wainganga river at Rajegaon in Gondia district on Tuesaday.
With tears in their eyes, party leaders and people chanted ‘Ajit dada amar rahe’ and bid adieu to their beloved leader.

Earlier, the urn containg the ashes of Ajit Pawar was kept at the NCP Gondia District Office from 10 am to 1 pm where people paid their respects for their beloved leader.
Later, along with a procession, the urn was taken to Rajegaon in a decorated vehicle. Ajitdada’s ashes were worshipped on the banks of the Wainganga river amidst chanting of mantras and religious rituals. After that, his ashes were immersed in the Wainganga river. Remembering Ajit Pawar, former MLC Rajendra Jain said, “Although a chapter of development ended in the form of dada, his thoughts and legacy will always live on.”
On the occasion, MLA Rajkumar Badole, NCP District President Premkumar Rahang-dale and many other dignitaries were present in large numbers.

In Wardha: The ashes of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were brought to Wardha district and immersed in the Dham riverbed in Paonar on Tuesday.
Activists and supporters present at the occasion bid farewell to their beloved leader with tearful eyes.
Large number of citizens and activists took darshan of the ashes. The ashes were taken to Paonar and rituals were performed on the banks of the Dham river. The ashes were immersed in a very peaceful and emotional atmosphere. Former MLA Raju Timande, Hinganghat Market Committee Chairman Sudhir Kothari, Sandeep Bhadwalkar, Roshan Raut, Pramod Lade, Moreshwar Halke, Ashok Bhat, Vilas Dhavane, Yogesh Lende, Nilesh Dhaktod and many NCP office bearers, activists and villagers were present in large numbers on this occasion.

brigade. Kiran Paturkar, President of the Amravati MIDC Association, also promptly informed the Fire Department, following which fire fighters were dispatched to the spot. Nearly five to six fire engines rushed to the spot and began an intensive firefighting operation.
Due to the severity of the fire, firefighters faced significant challenges in controlling it. As a precautionary measure, electricity supply to the surrounding area was cut off, as neighboring factories and mills were also at risk.
Ambulances were also deployed on the site to help with possible injuires and casualties. However, no official loss of life has been confirmed.
After continuous efforts and prolonged efforts, the fire brigade succeeded in bringing the blaze under control.
