FOLLOWING the success of her latest record West End Girl, which details the breakdown of her marriage to David Harbour, Lily Allen is reportedly set to drop a new record which details how she has beenmistreatedbymusicexecutives. The album was reportedly written five years ago but never released, reports femalefirst.co.uk. “There’s now great excitement about Lily’s unreleased album finally getting a release. She’s really pushing theidea.Having timed therelease ofWestEndGirl perfectly to coincide withHarbour’scomebackinStranger Things, heaven knows what she’s got instoreforherother exesif the album does getreleased,” a source told The Mail On Sunday newspaper. The source added:“Lily knows her currency right now, she is a superstar after her last album and if ever there was a time to get what she wants, it’s now.

There will be plenty ofmaterial – Lily has had rotten time within the industry. As a vulnerable youngwoman, thereweremanypeople circling around to abuse her.” She is reportedly set to work with British–bornproducerBlueMay,who collaborated with her on West End Girl, to help her update the record for release. Allen hints on West End Girl that former husband David wasunfaithful toherand admitted her experiences in her secondmarriage gave her a better understanding of the “pain” first husband SamCooper feltin theirrelationship. She previously told The Observer newspaper: “I’ve learned there are no] baddies and goodies in a marriage but, having done things that were not very nice in my first marriage, I have a better idea now of the pain I may have inflicted. I’ve learned how horrible it is to be on the receiving end of that.” She said: “It’s just sort of devastating, really. It keeps you upatnightandcostsahuge amount of money and just goes on and on and on. And I hate feeling like I can’t trust anyone. But there’s something about dealing with an expartner and lawyers that creates an environment of feeling like you can’t trust anybody or anything.” ■
