SOHEL Sheikh slammed an unbeaten century to escort Rudra XI into quarter-finals of the ongoing Hajiyani Zubeda Abdul Razzak Charitable Trust organised Babuji Foundation North Nagpur’s Royal Premier Cricket League Season 10 at Mecosabagh Methodist School Ground.
In the pre-quarterfinal, Rudra XI defeated S&S Study Circle by 76 runs. Sheikh slammed a 33-ball unbeaten 108 as Rudra XI posted 125 for two in eight overs. His big knock included 12 sixes and five boundaries. In reply, S&S Study Circle could manage only 49-9. Sujal Samundre top scored with 15 runs.
For the winners, Pranav Gaikwad and Arsalan Hussain took three wickets each.
In another pre-quarters, Cops XI defeated DNA Kamptee by 16 runs. Cops XI scored 97-7 in eight overs with Harish Ingle scoring 29 runs from 10 deliveries. His knock included four sixes.
Nikhil Karan scored 22 while Anil Kendre added 21. For DNA Kamptee, Gautam Patil and Mohd Faizal took two wickets each. In reply, DNA Kamptee could score 81 runs in allotted overs. Shubham Takbhaware tried hard for his side with a fighting 32 from 16 balls. For Cops XI, Prakash Uikey took three wickets and Appa Padalkar snared two.
