A city businessmen was cheated in a business deal to tune of Rs 5 crore by a trio from Uttar Pradesh. Sitabuldi Police registered a case on complaint of Nitesh Sanklecha (56), a resident of Shivaji Nagar. Sanklecha was lured with promise of bagging prestigious contracts that would be sub-let to him. Sanklecha heads the city office of Shraddha Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, and has office at Shraddha House, Station Road. Sanklecha met with the accused trio Ajaykumar, Vijaykumar, and Nitin Tyagi, all residents of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. They posed as owners of Infriction Constructions Pvt Ltd. Sanklecha was introduced to the three by his friend Manoj Sinha, Proprietor, Sarla Project Works Pvt Ltd, and he too has office at Shraddha Complex.
 
The accused trio claimed to have orders worth Rs 1,000 crore and offered to collaborate with Sanklecha if latter was ready for partnership. The three said they have office in North East Delhi. Sanklecha was interested in investment as to him, the proposal looked attractive. After baiting Sanklecha, the trio from time to time sought advance payments. The transaction was done on part of Sanklecha in two installments where he paid Rs 2.5 crore in anticipation of bagging the infra projects in Maharashtra. These financial advances were done by Sanklecha between September 2024 and February 2025. Despite a passage of long time when the projects did not materialise, Sanklecha sought to know details when the accused trio stalled for some time. Finally Sanklecha realised that he was duped and lodged complaint with Sitabuldi Police Station.
