The 32nd edition of COMP-EX’ 2026, Central India’s most awaited Computer, IT & Technology Exhibition, commenced on Thursday at St. Ursula School Ground, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The four-day exhibition is receiving overwhelming response from the citizens. It will remain open for the visitors till February 8, every from 12 noon to 9 pm. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Ravinder Singal, Police Commissioner, Nagpur City, in presence of Anilkumar Kokate, Director – Strategic Planning, Maha Metro and others. Addressing the gathering, Dr Singal highlighted how the Nagpur Police is leveraging technology to enhance citizen safety and policing efficiency through customised digital solutions and AI-based applications such as AI Nirakshak, SIMBA, and Garuda Drishti. He emphasised the growing role of technology in modern governance and law enforcement.
 
After formally inaugurating the exhibition, Dr Singal took a detailed round of COMP-EX’ 2026 and expressed satisfaction over the wide range of innovative products, services, and solutions showcased by exhibitors, covering areas such as IT hardware, software, cybersecurity, surveillance, AI-driven applications, cloud solutions, and digital services. Presiding over the function, Dinesh Naidu, President, VCMDWA, stated that COMP-EX is not merely an exhibition but a platform that reflects the evolving technology ecosystem and empowers MSMEs, startups, and young talent, especially from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The entire inaugural programme and proceedings were conducted by VCMDWA Secretary, Lalit Gandhi. The exhibition offers visitor-friendly facilities including free parking, a dedicated food court, organised movement, and a safe, well-managed environment.
 
Special attractions include technology workshops, competitions, and interactive sessions aimed at students, professionals, and entrepreneurs. With participation from leading brands, government departments, and technology innovators, COMP-EX’ 2026 is expected to attract large footfalls over the next four days and reinforce Nagpur’s position as a growing technology and innovation hub. Organised by the Vidarbha Computer & Media Dealers Welfare Association (VCMDWA), COMP-EX continues its legacy of over three decades as a premier platform connecting technology providers, businesses, startups, students, and end-users under one roof.
