RESERVE Bank of India (RBI) registered a convincing 78-run victory over Bank of India (BOI), while Punjab National Bank (PNB) recorded an emphatic 8-wicket victory over UCO Bank in the B Division match of the inter-bank tournament organised by Bankers’ Sports Council at City Gymkhana Ground. RBI’s Piyush Telrandhe continued his splendid form, scoring his second half century of the tournament and later took three wickets for 21 runs as RBI beat BOI. RBI piled up a 193 for 6 in stipulated 20 overs. Preet Singh scored 43 runs, Abhijeet Nagre contributed 25, while Parag Kewalramani added 18 runs. For BOI, Sohal Mohiuddin (2-40) and Ajay Barahate (2-18) were the main wicket-takers.
 
In reply, BOI were restricted to a modest total of 115 runs. Former Duleep Trophy player Paresh Sutane top-scored with 37 runs, while Shirish Lambe chipped in with 27 runs. For RBI, Piyush Telrandhe picked up three wickets and was well supported by Humansh Parkhade and Rahul Mina, who claimed two wickets each. In B Division match, PNB outplayed UCO Bank by eight wickets. UCO Bank were bowled out for 111 runs thanks to excellent bowling performance by PNB bowlers. Kishore Warudkar returned figures of 3-10, while skipper Rutupurna Pathak and Govinda Narnaware picked up two wickets each. For UCO Bank, Sujeet Singh top-scored with 39 runs, while Swapnil Jivtode, Milind Wankhede and Abhishek Shrivastava scored 13 runs each. Chasing the target, PNB achieved the required total losing only two wickets. Chetan Kale scored an unbeaten 50, while Kishore Warudkar remained not out on 28 runs. For UCO Bank, Roshan Raut and Swapnil Jivtode took one wicket each.
