Jabalpur’s Ayush Tiwari, a class XI student of Government Pt Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence, got the opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi during the ninth edition of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ at the PM House at New Delhi.
Students from 36 States and Union Territories participated in the sessions held in Delhi.
The only representative from Madhya Pradesh, Ayush was among the 12 students who were invited at the PM House for direct interaction.
Ayush asked the Prime Minister that, “generally majority of the students fail to match the teachers’ pace of covering syllabus, as a result, they lag behind. How do these students pursue their studies with the revision for examination?.”
The Prime Minister patiently listened to Ayush and gave the mantra of time management and preparation for the chapter to be covered in the class, which fuels their curiosity when the teacher teaches
the same chapter during class.
Accompanied by his mentor, Dr. Bharti Malpani, Tiwari was honoured by the Prime Minister with an Assamese Gamucha.
Upon his return, Tiwari was formally felicitated at the district event for his achievement and representation of the region on a national stage.
It may be mentioned that the ninth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s "Pariksha Pe Charcha" (PPC) initiative was broadcast across the nation, aiming to alleviate academic pressure and foster a positive environment for students.
In Jabalpur, the district-level event held at the Government Model School, was attended by MLA Ashok Rohani, Shreenivas Rao, Vice-Chairman, MP Board of Secondary Education and Akhilesh Jain, BJP State Treasurer.
MLA Rohani emphasised the psychological benefits of the initiative, noting that such programs are essential for removing the ‘fear of examinations’ from students’ minds, thereby enabling superior academic performance.
DEO Ghanshyam Soni oversaw the district-wide implementation, ensuring the broadcast reached all local schools. Those who present included ADPC Gautam Barbe, DPC Yogesh Sharma, Principal Upma Gupta and others.
