Superintendent of Police, Sampat Upadhyay (IPS) chaired crime review meeting to ensure maintenance of law and order arrangements in the district during forthcoming festivals. The meeting was attended by Additional SP (City) Ayush Gupta (IPS), Additional SP Zone-2 Pallavi Shukla, Additional SP (Rural) Suryakant Sharma, Additional SP (Traffic) Anjana Tiwari, all gazetted officers, SHOs and outpost in-charges.
During the meeting, SP, Upadhyay carried out a detailed review of tri-annual comparative crime data related to IPC/BNS cases, preventive actions and minor acts.
Special emphasis was laid on the disposal of pending serious crimes, including murder, attempt to murder, robbery, snatching, house-breaking, SC/ST Act cases, and crimes against women.
SP Upadhyay directed officers to expedite the disposal of
pending serious cases and ensure continuous execution of permanent warrants. He instructed that rewards be announced for absconding accused persons and that special teams be formed to trace and arrest accused persons residing outside the district.
