approved the upgradation of Bilaspur Airport from the 3C-VFR category to 3C All
Weather Operations.
The approval for upgradation of Bilaspur Airport from 3C-VFR to 3C All Weather Operations category is a landmark achievement and of far-reaching significance for Chhattisgarh. With this decision, all-weather flight operations will now be possible at Bilaspur Airport, which will strengthen regional air connectivity and provide safer, easier and more reliable air services to the passengers.
He said that as a result of the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the development oriented double engine government of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, today historic work is becoming possible in the field of infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. He said that with the availability of all-weather operations, safe operation of aircraft will now be possible
even in fog, rain or bad weather conditions, which will reduce flight cancellations and both the time and convenience of the passengers will be safe. The upgradation will open new doors of trade, industry, investment and tourism not only for Bilaspur but for the entire division and Chhattisgarh. Better air connectivity will boost industrial activities and give new impetus to the economic progress of State.
Sahu expressed confidence that with the coordinated efforts of the Central government and the Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister, Chhattisgarh will emerge as a major centre of development, connectivity and investment in the coming times.
