INDIAN football legend Baichung Bhutia will be the chief guest at Nagpur Marathon’s landmark 10th edition to be flagged off at St Ursula Girls’ High School on March 15. Bhutia, among India’s most respected sportspersons, known for his stellar contribution to Indian football and his continued efforts in youth development and sports promotion, is expected to inspire thousands of participants. “His association adds tremendous prestige and motivation. We are confident it will encourage runners, young athletes, and sports enthusiasts to give their best,” said Race Director Mitesh Rambhia during a press conference on Saturday. The marathon will feature 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21 km categories.
 
Cash prizes will be awarded to winners in various age categories of 10 km and 21 km races from a total prize pool of 4 lakhs. The marathon will commence at 6 am and will be free off cost for speacially-abled athletes. Last date to register for marathon is March 5. Marathon is sponsored by Breads N Beyond and powered by Roshan Real Estate. Pankaj Roshan, founder of Roshan Real Estate, said, “We are thrilled to power this milestone edition. Baichung Bhutia’s involvement will inspire the youth to embrace fitness.
